<p>Ina-Alice Kopp is an accomplished actress with stage, film and TV credits from Europe and China. Ina-Alice was drawn to the High Fashion Kubuki Geisha Pin-Up theme of the shoot. Los Angeles-based, Austrian actress, Ina-Alice Kopp recently wrapped the 30-hour biopic, “Departed Heroes” (Mandarin title: “Yuan Qu de Fei Ying”). The exotic love affair between Ina-Alice Kopp and Zhu Yawen and the epic battle scenes have won the hearts of fans throughout China.</p>

<p>Photographer John Michael Ferrari specializes in painting photographs with light, including hot lights a la old black and white movie era in his Hollywood California studio and experimenting with new types of shoots.  As a photographer and director of photography, John has worked with many of the top models and up and coming filmmakers of today. His photography graces CD covers (i.e., “Minor Matters,” for Peoples Republic) and movie posters (i.e. “Redemption,” for Agenda Pictures). </p>

<p>Make-Up Artist Nelly Recchia usually works for the music industry, for fashion editorials, and run-ways. Born and raised in France and multi award winner in International makeup and Body Art competitions, Nelly Recchia moved to Los Angeles where she is collaborating on music videos, editorials, commercials and fine art photography with Katy Perry, Dita Von teese, Kelis, Static X, Marilyn Manson Britney Spears, Vogue, Wired magazine… just to name of few. Nelly approaches every face as a canvas. Nelly also has a great understand of how make-up has to adapt to new technology.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Ina-Alice approached fashion costume designer Bao Tranchi to design something for her. for this High Fashion Kubuki Geisha Pin-Up shoot. Bao loved the idea and enjoyed putting together a costume to turn Ina-Alice into a Kubuki Geisha doll. The costume was personally designed and created by Bao Tranchi. Bao combined the original theme with edgy and avand-guarde.</p>

<p> An accomplished author and prominent film maker have teamed up to explore the issue of being gay and gay marriage in conservative Utah.  They hope to change the conversation about gay issues with OUTSIDE: GAY IN UTAH, an even-handed documentary that will examine the searing contradictions and controversies surrounding homosexuality in a state known for being the center of the LDS Mormon Church.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Hollywood Producer/Director Ken Aguado and author Dr. Stephen Seager have joined forces on the project, with a target premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2013.  Production is set to begin this summer.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>&#8220;The objective of our film is to turn down the volume on a very volatile, hot button issue,&#8221; says Dr. Seager, a native of Utah who brings a very personal connection to the documentary.  &#8220;We&#8217;ll talk to those on both sides, from the openly supportive community in Salt Lake City to the hierarchy of the Mormon Church.  The purpose of the film is to take an even handed look at this polarizing debate on what constitutes marriage and, just as importantly, how the two sides can find common ground.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>&#8220;Utah is quite a dichotomy in that it&#8217;s conservative on the legalities of what constitutes a legal marriage and yet is also home to one of the country&#8217;s more accepting gay communities in Salt Lake City.  Our film will talk to the man on the street, the students, parents of gay children, professors, clergy and others who have experienced this firsthand in the state.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>(OUTSIDE: GAY IN UTAH is raising funds through Kickstarter, an innovative funding platform for creative projects.) </p>

<p>Dr. Seager grew up in Utah and had relatives who were quite prominent in the community but spent their entire personal lives hiding the fact that they were gay. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Aguado is a veteran film and television producer and director.  He produced THE SALTON SEA starring Val Kilmer, Vincent D’Onofrio and Debra Kara Unger for Castle Rock Entertainment/Warner Brothers; CRAZY AS HELL, starring Eriq La Salle and Michael Beach, distributed theatrically by Artistic License; SEXUAL LIFE, written and directed by Ken Kwapis, starring Anne Heche, Tom Everett Scott and Elizabeth Banks for Showtime.  </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Most recently Aguado completed the independent film THE GOATS, based on the famous novel by Brock Cole. The Goats is a topical drama about two kids who must grapple with the aftermath of a bullying incident.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>When Dr. Seager learned that Aguado was developing a motion picture based on the anti-gay rights campaign of Anita Bryant, he suggested they team up to produce an even-handed examination of the strange plight of homosexuality in the predominantly Mormon state of Utah.   Aguado expects to draw upon his substantial Hollywood relationships for both on and off camera celebrity interviews and input.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>While a number of states have passed gay marriage laws in recent years (Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont, plus Washington, D.C. and Oregon&#8217;s Coquille and Washington State&#8217;s Suquamish Indian tribes), the vast majority of the country still adheres to the constricts of the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law passed during the Clinton Administration in September of 1996. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>California passed a law in June 2008 affirming the legality of gay marriage but it was struck down by voters on November 4 of that same year under the controversial Proposition 8, which was heavily backed by the Mormon Church.</p>

<p>Dr. Stephen Seager is a staff psychiatrist at Napa State Hospital in Napa California.  He is the author of five books, including Breathe, Little Boy, Breathe (1981 Prentice/Hall); Emergency! A Novel  (1983 GP Putnam&#8217;s Sons); Psychward: A year behind locked doors (GP Putnam&#8217;s Sons); Street Crazy, America&#8217;s Mental Health Tragedy (2008 Westcom Press); and, The God Gene, a novel (2010 Westcom Press)</p>

<p>&#8216;Psychward&#8217; was optioned to Paramount Pictures (film), ABC Television and the BBC. <p> On April 5, 2012 President Obama signed The American Jobs Act into law legalizing crowding funding. Crowd funding allows small businesses, nonprofits, and start-ups to get access to capital by receiving donations online from supporters around the world. Crowd funding is another option for small organizations, with low credit lines, to get needed funds to innovate, grow, and hire more employees.  According to Senator Graves (R-MO), The Jobs Act is a way to address difficulty in obtaining capital and will pave the way for small scale business to go public and create jobs. The bill also makes crowd funding sites more accountable by requiring them to register with the SEC, and companies to provide tax returns to investors.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>In the past, Crowd funding has had some success stories. One of the first major success stories was in 2006 when Nemesea, a music band, raised $  50,000 on a crowd funding site. Another phenomenon happened in the UK when Ebbsfleet United Football Club was bought by 26,000 people on February 21, 2008. The football club is now controlled by the crowd, who are making major decisions for the team. Lastly, a market test product was made a reality on Kickstarter. The Glif is an iPhone stand, and a tripod mount that only needed $  10,000 to launch. However, 5,273 donated around $  20 a piece to raise $  137,417. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Crowd funding sites are growing in numbers to support different types of organizations like small businesses and nonprofits, to new talent such as musicians, book writers, scientists and other creative projects.  Kick starter, Rocket hub, Peer backers, Profounder and Quirky are some popular ones. The Small Business Network supports crowd funding. Capital C “the crowd liberates itself” is the latest project sponsored. Capital C. will be the first documentary on the effects of crowd funding around the world. The producers include some noted film makers, writers, and researchers around the world. Film maker Timo Vuorensola, from Finland, who produced “Iron Sky“ and director Gregor Schmidinger of homophobia, from Austria is among the few. Interviews will be headed by, researcher Dan Alan Grier an instructor at George Washington University from Washington D.C. He will be accompanied by Jimmy Wales founder of Wikipedia. The Small Business Network plans to sponsor more crowd funding projects in the future. </p>
